APPLYING FOR OG MEMBER PRIVILEGE CARD

How do I get the OG Member Privilege card or how do I join as an OG member?
You can apply for the OG Member Privilege card ("OG Card") only during the OG Anniversary Sale that takes place around September each year and runs for about one month. Exact dates are announced in the press, instore and on this website. For 2013/14, the Anniversary Sale period ended on 06 October 2013.
 
What is the minimum purchase to qualify for an OG Card?
You need to spend $75 net in any OG stores on the same day. OG Rewards redemption items do not count toward the $75 total.
 
Can I combine more than one receipt to make up the $75 net purchase?
Yes, you may combine receipts as long as the purchases were all made on the same day.
 
Do I have to apply for the OG Card on the same day as I make my $75 net purchase?
No, you may apply on a different day as long as it is still within the application period. For 2013/14, the application period ended on 09 October 2013.
 
Can I apply online for the OG Card?
No, you need to apply in person at any of our instore Customer Service Counters.
 
What is the application procedure for the OG Card?
If you are an existing OG member: Please present your existing OG Card together with your purchase receipts. Our Customer Service Officer will verify your details on our system; if our information is incomplete or incorrect, you may be asked to provide the correct information by filling in the appropriate fields on the application form. If you are applying for an OG Card for the first time: Please fill out the application form carefully and present it together with your purchase receipts and identification (NRIC/FIN/Passport).
 
What is the validity period of the OG Card ?
The card is valid for one year, from the issue date until 30 September the following year. However customers have up to 31 October to redeem their accumulated loyalty points.
 
Can I get the OG Card outside of the OG Anniversary sale period?
No. The OG Card can only be applied for during our annual Anniversary celebrations. It is our special way of thanking you, our loyal customers.

LOYALTY POINTS

How can I check my loyalty points balance?
Apart from our online points checking form, you may check your points balance at any of our Customer Service or cashier counters. Self-checking is available using the machine mounted on the wall at the entrance to Customer Service at any OG store.
 
Can I exchange my loyalty points for shopping vouchers or rebates?
Not at this time. The main benefit of the OG Card is that it entitles you to a 10% discount off most regular-priced merchandise all year round. As an additional bonus, we reward you with loyalty points to spend on carefully selected premium products that are offered at a heavy subsidy.
 
Why do I have to top-up cash in order to redeem items in the OG Rewards programme?
The OG Rewards loyalty points are a bonus benefit of the OG Card, under which OG selects premium products and offers them at a heavy subsidy to our loyal customers. In response to customer feedback, we strike a balance between a reasonable number of points together with a small cash top-up, rather than requiring high points balances for redemption of items.
 
If I do not present my OG Card but provide the store with my card number, can I still enjoy all member-exclusive benefits and accumulate loyalty points?
No. The OG Card must be presented for you to enjoy the benefits. The benefits mechanism is activated only after your card is scanned on our machine during transaction. Please remember to bring your OG Card with you whenever you shop at OG stores.
 
If I did not present my OG Card at the time of purchase, can I get the loyalty points re-credited to my account by presenting the receipt at a later time?
No. The OG Card must be scanned by our machine during each purchase transaction. We will not be able to credit loyalty points for previous purchases even if you present your OG Card together with the receipt(s) at a later date.
Please remember to bring your OG Card with you whenever you shop at OG stores.
 
Can the loyalty points accumulated in two or more OG Cards owned separately by me and my family member or friend be merged?
No. Loyalty points are not transferable from one OG Card to another.

Why am I not receiving SMS / emails from OG?
We apologise that you have not been receiving information from us. It may be that your mobile number or email address has changed or is incorrectly recorded in our database. Please contact us.
 
Why am I not receiving mailers from OG?
We apologise that you have not been receiving information from us. It may be that your address has changed or is incorrectly recorded in our database. We do try to contact members whose mailers are returned, but sometimes the supplied contact telephone number is incorrect. Please contact us.

For environmental reasons, OG makes a conscious effort to cut down on duplicate mailings. Our policy is to send only one copy of our mailers to any one address. Please let us know if you would like to receive a personal copy; we would be more than happy to oblige.
 
How do I unsubscribe from SMS offers?
You may unsubscribe by texting "X" to 71133.
 
How do I unsubscribe from email newsletters?
Please click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email newsletter. You may also access the Unsubscribe link here.
 
How do I unsubscribe from mailers?
If you no longer wish to receive mailers, please tell us. You may also opt out of receiving mailers by ticking the appropriate box on the card application form when applying for the card during the OG Anniversary Sale.
 
How do I update my mailing address or other contact details?
Please use this form or email us at feedback@og.com.sg. Alternatively you may change your details in person at any of our Customer Service counters.

LOST OG CARDS

I have lost my OG Card; how do I get a replacement card?
You can get a replacement OG Card for a nominal fee of $10 at any of our instore Customer Service Counters.
 
If my OG Card is lost, will the finder be able to read my personal information from the card?
No. Members' personal information is not stored on the OG Card.
 
If my OG Card is lost, will the finder be able to redeem benefits with the points accumulated in my card?
If you lose your OG Card, please report the loss here or call any of our Customer Service Counters: 62102331 (OG Albert), 63172246 (OG Orchard Point) or 65358888 ext 851 (OG People’s Park). We will freeze your account after your loss is reported.

If you do not report the loss of your OG Card, we cannot be responsible for the unauthorised use of your loyalty points. Therefore please take good care of your OG Card and do not lend it to others.

DATA PROTECTION

Do you protect the privacy of my personal information submitted via card application?
Yes. All personal data submitted will be kept confidential. OG will use your contact information only for communicating various marketing promotions.

If your mailers are being returned as undeliverable, we may call your contact telephone number only in order to update our database with the correct mailing address.
